Abstract

Procedimiento para aplicar una capa de recubrimiento a la superficie de un cuerpo de resina polimérica , cuya cadena de carbonos tiene por lo menos algún hidrógeno en una unidad repetida en la cadena polimérica, teniendo dicha resina una tensión crítica superficial de humectación no mayor de 35 dinas por centímetro , constituyendo dicha superficie un material polimérico, seleccionado de entre un grupo integrado por resinas de fluoruro de polivinilo, fluoruro de polivinilideno, poliolefinas, copolímeros de etileno o propileno con acetato de vinilo o acrilato etílico, copolímeros de etileno y propileno que contengan una proporción pequeña de un dieno no conjugado, así como superficies moldeadas de cuerpos de resinas del grupo compuesto por resinas de poliacetal, de poliamida, de policaprolactama , de poliuretano y de ionoméro, caracterizado por las fases sucesivas de aplicar a la superficie que se ha de recubrir un fotosensibilizador que tiene una energía en estado de triplete de por lo menosunas 62 K cal/mol; irradiar dicha superficie con rayos ultravioletas de orden de 2000 A a 3500 A aproximadamente en una proporción de por lo menos 0,108 vatios segundos por centímetro cuadrado para formar una superficie entrecruzada integrante del cuerpo de la resina y para generar simultáneamente radicales libres en las moléculas de la superficie de dicho material polimérico y por último aplicar a dicha superficie una composición de recubrimiento a base de resina polimérica sintética que contenga grupos que se combinaran con la superficie por la acción de los referidos radicales libres.
