Abstract
Improvements introduced in the cooking or sterilization of products intended to be kept in containers by high-temperature treatment of containers placed in rotation about their longitudinal axis, these improvements being characterized by the fact that the products are placed in the containers adding to each container a small amount of aqueous liquid, advantageously between 5% and 20% of the volume of the bottle, because the lids are fixed on the containers at a certain number of points and the containers are then passed in an inclined position on their respective longitudinal axes before a heat source arranged so that they directly heat the peripheral wall and a part of the bottom of the inclined containers for a sufficient time to boil the aqueous liquid collected towards the base of each container, because they are then closed completely the containers that are brought to with followed, for example by direct heating or by radiation, up to the sterilization temperature at which they are kept for the necessary predetermined time, and by which they are finally cooled to ordinary temperature, preferably by spraying cold water.
