Abstract
Procedure for obtaining aminopropanol derivatives, of formula Ia, **(See formula)** where R1 is hydrogen, cycloalkyl of 3 to 7 carbon atoms, alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, cycloalkylalkyl, where the cycloalkyl ring is of 3 to 7 carbon atoms and the alkyl residue is of 1 to 6 carbon atoms carbon, or phenylalkyl or diphenylalkyl, where the phenyl radicals may be substituted in the 3, 4 or 5 position by 1 to 3 hydroxy groups, and where the alkyl residue is from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, characterized by that ether groups are converted to hydroxy groups into a compound of formula II, **(See formula)** where R1 is hydrogen, cycloalkyl of 3 to 7 carbon atoms, alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, cycloalkylalkyl, where the cycloalkyl ring is of 3 to 7 carbon atoms and the alkyl residue is of 1 to 6 carbon atoms carbon, or phenylalkyl or diphenylalkyl, where the phenyl radicals may be substituted at the 3, 4 or 5 position by 1 to 3 hydroxy or methoxy groups, or at the 3,4 position by a methylenedioxy group, and where the alkyl residue is 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and R2 is methyl, ethyl, or benzyl.
