Abstract

Procedure for obtaining blue-colored aluminum objects, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: (1) applying alloys containing at least one of the following metals to the aluminum object: Magnesium, at a ratio of between 0.45 and 6 % by weight, Cobalt at a rate of between 0.5 and 2% by weight, Nickel at a rate of between 1 and 6% by weight, and possibly one of the following metals: Zinc up to 6% Copper up to 0.3%, Silicon up to 1% and Manganese up to 1% (2) subject the object to anodization in a bath containing hexavalent chromium ions and trivalent chromium ions; and (3) treating the thus anodized object under alternating current in an electrolyte consisting of a solution containing heavy metal salt.
