Abstract
Fleeces are produced by introducing a bundle of continuous regenerated cellulose filaments in the form of a band or sliver, into a stream of water. The individual filaments have a thickness of from 0.1-10 den and a moisture content at least equal in weight to that of the cellulose content of the filaments. The water flows along a trough 5, the base of which slopes downwardly at 4-15 to the horizontal and is open at the lower end.
