Abstract

A process for preparing structures formed from polyamides-, characterized in that the structure is formed from solutions of polyamides that are selected from the group consisting of (a) high molecular weight homopolymeric poly (p-benzamyl) having units periodic formula ** (See formula) ** having an inherent viscosity measured in sulfuric acid at 30ºC of at least 0.7, a peak height ratio of up to 0.86, and leaving no sediment when 0.1-gram is combined with 10 milliliters of a solution of 6.9 weight percent lithium chloride in tetramethylurea, is mechanically stirred for 24 hours and allowed to stand for at least 24 hours at room temperature; (b) a high molecular weight copolymer consisting of at least 80 mole percent units ** (See formula) ** molar percent of units ** (See formula) ** where Z represents a divalent organic radical; and (c) a high molecular weight copolymer consisting of at least 80 mole percent units. ** (See formula) ** in practically equal amounts, up to 10 molar percent each of units ** (See formula) ** and units ** (See formula) ** , where Q and Q'are selected from the group of hydrogen, methyl and phenyl radicals, R represents a divalent organic radical or a single bond and R' represents a divalent organic radical of Y and Y'are (see formula).
