Abstract

Dry material is fed into the top of a grader through an opening 12 and damp material is fed into the lower part through an opening 14 for drying by means of hot gases fed through a pipe 15. Air is circulated upwardly by means of a blower 2. The material fed in through openings 12, 14 is scattered by rotating scatter plates 8, 13 respectively and is separated into coarse and fine particles by the air current. The fine particles are precipitated in cyclones 6 and removed through flap valves 17. The coarse material leaves the grades through the flap valve 18.
