Abstract

Antihemophilic Factor (A.H.F.) is obtained in more concentrated form by precipitating a redissolved cryoprecipitate of A.H.F. with aqueous glycine and/or polyethylene solutions. The cryoprecipitate may be formed by cooling human blood plasma e.g. to -20 C to -40 C followed by slow thawing to about 4 C. The precipitate is dissolved in glycine citrated saline and the precipitant is added. The precipitate is collected and may be redissolved and reprecipitated using the other precipitant and/or subjected to an additional purification step by adsorption on and ellution from a chromatographic column of "Eoteola" cellulose resin.
