Abstract
Procedure for the improvement in the processes of neutralization of acid solutions of caprolactam, in sulfuric acid, resulting from the processes of synthesis of caprolactam, said neutralization being effected by the use of ammonia with formation of ammonium sulphate and recovery thereof in the presence of water , characterized in that the solution in the neutralization phase is allowed to warm up by the effect of the heat of reaction to an insufficient temperature to produce the hydrolysis of the caprolactam, because a sufficient depression is applied to the solution to produce a substantial concentration of the same, with consequent partial evaporation of the water, allowing a crystallization of ammonium sulfate in the presence of lactam in oil phase other than the aqueous phase.
