Abstract

Aparato para conectar conductores a terminales, siendo el aparato del tipo que comprende un alimentador de conductores para alimentar intermitentemente conductores desde una fuente sin fin a lo largo de un trayecto de alimentación de conductor, una mordaza de sujeción de conductor de aguas arriba y una mordaza de sujeción de conductor de aguas abajo, en el trayecto de alimentación, estando la mordaza de aguas arriba, aguas arriba con relación a la dirección de alimentación del conductor, respecto de la mordaza de aguas abajo, estando las mordazas normalmente abiertas y en posiciones alineadas, de modo que el conductor pueda ser alimentado a través de las mordazas, pudiendo cerrarse las mordazas sobre el conductor al cesar el avance del mismo, un cortador de conductores, entre las mordazas, de modo que el conductor alimentado pueda ser cortado y las mordazas de aguas arriba y de aguas abajo estén en aplicación de sujeción con un extremo de conductor de aguas arriba y un conductor de aguas abajo, respectivamente, un puesto de conexión de conductor de aguas arriba y un puesto de conexión de conductor de aguas abajo, estando los puestos de conexión de conductor al lado del trayecto de alimentación de conductor y próximos a las mordazas de aguas arriba y de aguas abajo, respectivamente, siendo desplazables las mordazas mediante desplazadores de mordazas, entre sus posiciones normales alineadas y posiciones no alineadas, en las que los extremos de conductor aguas arriba y de aguas abajo son presentados a los puestos de conexión de conductores de aguas arriba y de aguas abajo, respectivamente, estando caracterizado el aparato porque hay previsto un aplicador en el puesto de conexión de conductores de aguas abajo para insertar conductores, de uno en uno, en ranuras receptoras de conductor en terminales que están en relación yuxtapuesta en una hilera en un conectador eléctrico de múltiples contactos; el aplicador tiene una zona de inserción, un soporte de conectador en la zona de inserción, un pistón de inserción que puede moverse en vaivén acercándose y alejándose se respecto de un terminal en un conectador situado en el soporte de conectador, y un orientador de conectadores para hacer avanzar un conectador sobre el soporte en una distancia igual al espaciamiento entre terminales adyacentes del conectador; hay previstos medios de accionamiento para accionar secuencialmente el alimentador de conductores, cerrar las mordazas para conductor sobre el conductor alimentado, accionar los desplazadores de.mordaza, para desplazar las mordazas de sujeción de conductor desde sus posiciones alineadas a sus posiciones no alineadas, mover en vaivén el pistón de inserción acercándole y alejándole respecto de un conectador situado en el soporte de conectador, abrir la mordaza de aguas abajo, accionar de nuevo los desplazadores de mordaza, para hacer volver con ello a las mordazas a sus posiciones alineadas, y abrir la mordaza de sujeción de conductor de aguas arriba, por lo que, durante cada ciclo operativo del aparato, un extremo de conductor de aguas abajo es insertado en uno de los terminales de un conectador situado en el soporte de conectador y, después de una serie de ciclos operativos, a todos los terminales del conectador hay conectados conductores cortados.
