Freno de disco para vehículos automóviles, del tipo que comprende un émbolo actuador que obra sobre una placa metálica de soporte provista, en la cara opuesta al émbolo, de un revestimiento de material de fricción, caracterizado en que dicho freno comprende un elemento no metálico dotado de propiedades antivibratorias y de resistencia a las temperaturas altas, interpuesto entre dicha placa metálica y dicho émbolo actuador; y en que dicho elemento está mantenido en contacto con una porción reducida de la superficie de la placa metálica de soporte, situada en correspondencia o en adyacencia con la zona de dicha placa sobre la cual obra el émbolo actuador.
