Abstract

Dispositivo de retención axial de las zapatas de un freno de tambor, del tipo que incorpora un soporte fijo que recibe, para deslizarse en el mismo, dos zapatas que se pueden separar por medio de un motor de freno, por lo menos situado entre dos extremos adyacentes de las zapatas, incorporando el soporte, en línea con cada zapata, un brazo axial cuyo extremo libre se extiende radialmente hacia fuera, colocándose un dispositivo de retención entre el extremo libre y la zapata para aplicarla axialmente sobre el soporte fijo, caracterizado porque dicho dispositivo de retención comprende un elemento elástico y un elemento de fijación que asegura la pretensión del elemento elástico cuando la zapata no esta montada en el soporte fijo, quedando el elemento de fijación inoperante cuándo la zapata y el dispositivo de retención están en la posición de funcionamiento bajo el extremo libre del brazo.
