Abstract

Assembly of elements capable of producing units for various objects by assembling at least some of these elements in a precise form according to a predetermined plan. This assembly comprises at least two mounting devices (3, 5) in the form of a frame, each of the mounting devices being perforated with a series of aligned openings (17), rods (19, 21, 23) whose ends are threaded, it being possible for the ends to be inserted into corresponding openings of two mounting devices spaced from and parallel to each other, the rods being constructed so as to hold the mounting devices spaced from and parallel to each other, it being possible for nuts (25) to be mounted on the ends of the rods in order to keep the elements of the assembly rigid in the said form, and, if appropriate, panel boards (27), desks with drawers and various accessories, the latter being placed on the rods and held securely by the pressure of the frames, this pressure being exerted by tightening the nuts. According to an alternative, the ends of the rods, formed by threaded bores, are simply juxtaposed with the said corresponding openings and the elements of the assembly are kept rigid by inserting bolts in the said openings and by then screwing them into the threaded bores.
