Abstract

The support is for electrical components on a perforated board (1) where the perforations may be slots arranged in rows and columns. The support pieces are compatible with heavy and light components. The slots (2, 3, 4) have a length of 26mm and an 11mm width spaced 4mm apart. The support pieces have a shallow U section with the vertical walls turned through 90 degrees at the upper-edge and have a series of square openings (A, B, C) arranged symmetrically about their centre axes (xy) corresponding with the slots in the board. The square holes have securing caps with sidewalls which are folded back such that on insertion they bear against the board near surface. Alternatively they may have a deformable separate clamp which can be tightened up by a single screw from the front.
