Una caja de coche, especialmente para vehículos automóviles, que comprende una estructura auto-sustentadora que está constituida por perfiles unidos entre si y sustenta tanto una pared exterior como también una pared interior, dotadas de propiedades mecánicas diferentes con respecto a los perfiles de la estructura, en particular una mayor elasticidad, estando unidas directamente entre sí la pared exterior y la pared interior para formar tramos de superficie de carrocería configurados entre los perfiles de la estructura, a la vez que dichas paredes exterior e interior forman, para perfiles asociados de la estructura, en cada caso unas cavidades que rodean completamente los perfiles, caracterizada porque la pared exterior (3) y la pared interior (2) están alojadas de forma flotante en los perfiles (1) de la estructura, a través de las cavidades (5) formadas entre dichas paredes.
