Abstract

Un método para filtrar una muestra de sangre de mamífero, que comprende las etapas de: (a) proporcionar una muestra de sangre de mamífero con células sanguíneas, y que contiene o se sospecha que contiene un microorganismo; (b) llevar a cabo una lisis selectiva de las células sanguíneas para obtener una muestra lisada; (c) filtrar una parte de la muestra lisada obtenida en la etapa (b) a través de un filtro dispuesto para retener el microorganismo; (d) lavar el filtro con un tampón de lavado basado en detergente, capaz de solubilizar selectivamente sustancias diferentes al microorganismo retenido por el filtro, haciendo pasar el tampón de lavado basado en detergente a través del filtro, para retirar del filtro obstrucciones que consisten en las sustancias diferentes al microorganismo, para permitir una etapa adicional (c) de filtración de dicha muestra lisada; (e) repetir la etapa (c) al menos 1 vez, para filtrar al menos una parte adicional de la muestra lisada, y repetir opcionalmente las etapas (d) y (c) para que la muestra lisada pueda filtrarse completamente
