Abstract
Un proceso para la preparación de etoricoxib, que comprende someter la 5-cloro-3-(4- metitio)fenil-2-(2-metil-5- piridinil)piridina (IV) a oxidación en presencia de un catalizador de la oxidación y de un catalizador de transferencia de fase, y este último se selecciona de un grupo que comprende cloruro de metil-tri-n-octil-amonio, cloruro de metil-tri-n-butil-amonio, cloruro de bencetonio, y cloruro de metil-bencetonio, a fin de obtener el etoricoxib de la fórmula-(I).**Fórmula**
