Abstract

Un procedimiento para la absorción, y eliminación posterior como azufre, de sulfuro de hidrógeno desde gases o mezclas de gases, en el cual el gas o la mezcla de gases se lava con una solución alcalina acuosa de uno o más ácidos antraquinona disulfónicos, con lo cual el sulfuro de hidrógeno es oxidado y queda en libertad azufre, y el ácido o ácidos antraquinona disulfónicos reducidos se reoxidan por medio de oxígeno o de un gas que lo contenga.
