Abstract

Un método de fabricación de una unidad de ventana de vidrio aislante (IG), comprendiendo el procedimiento: formar un recubrimiento de baja emisividad de múltiples capas sobre un sustrato de vidrio, en donde el recubrimiento de baja emisividad comprende al menos una capa reflectante de infrarrojos (IR) que comprende plata intercalada entre al menos una primera y una segunda capas dieléctricas; adherir al menos dos láminas flexibles de protección en forma no líquida a una superficie superior del recubrimiento de baja emisividad a través de al menos una capa adhesiva para formar un artículo recubierto protegido; aplicar al menos una capa de protección en forma líquida directamente sobre el recubrimiento de baja emisividad y/o sobre al menos una de las láminas de protección flexibles para reducir una o más separaciones formadas entre el recubrimiento de baja emisividad y la(s) lámina(s) de protección flexible(s) y/o entre las láminas de protección flexibles; después de la aplicación y del curado del recubrimiento de protección, enviar el artículo recubierto protegido a un fabricante de unidades de ventana IG; el fabricante corta el artículo recubierto protegido en una forma y un tamaño apropiados con las láminas de protección sobre el mismo, cose el borde del artículo recubierto protegido con las láminas de protección sobre el mismo y/o lava el artículo recubierto protegido con las láminas de protección sobre el mismo, de modo que, después del corte, la costura del borde y/o el lavado, las láminas de protección y los recubrimientos de protección permanecen al menos parcialmente adheridos a la superficie superior del recubrimiento de baja emisividad; después de dicho corte, costura de borde y/o lavado, retirar despegando las láminas de protección de la superficie superior del recubrimiento de baja emisividad para formar un artículo recubierto no protegido, y también retirar al menos parte del recubrimiento de protección cuando se despegan las láminas de protección; después de retirar despegando las láminas de protección de la superficie superior del recubrimiento de baja emisividad, templar térmicamente el artículo recubierto que incluye el sustrato de vidrio y el recubrimiento de baja emisividad; y después de dicho templado, acoplar el artículo recubierto templado que incluye el sustrato de vidrio y el recubrimiento de baja emisividad a otro sustrato de vidrio para formar una unidad de ventana IG.
