Abstract

An electronic discharge device having a casing, which includes two annular ceramic casing portions, both relatively bulky in shape and providing relatively thick walls, one of said annular ceramic portions being an anode portion provided with an internal metallic surface constituting an anode electrode, the second of said annular ceramic portions reaching said anode part, there being a ceramic closure member that hermetically seals the end of said second annular portion and said device has electrode means supported from said ceramic closure member and which is they extend inside said anode electrode, and a conductive collar that surrounds the envelope of the device in heat conduction relationship with it and adapted to be connected to a heat absorbing element, or heat sink, to quickly remove heat from said anode electrode through at least one of said annular ceramic portions.
