Abstract

Procedimiento de preparación de polímeros de alfa-olefinas dotados de actividad óptica en solución, caracterizado porque comprende el polimerizar una alfa-olefina ópticamente activa, que tenga la fórmula general CH2=CHR, en la cual R es un grupo alquilo ramificado que contiene de 4 a 7 átomos de carbono, uno de los cuales, por lo menos, es asimétrico, o un grupo alquilarilo en el cual el grupo alquilo contiene por lo menos un átomo asimétrico de carbono, en presencia de un catalizador formado poniendo en contacto un compuesto de un metal de los Grupos IVa, Va, o VIa del Sistema Periódico de Mendeleiev con un compuesto organo-metálico de un metal de los grupos I, II o II de dicho Sistema.
