Abstract
Improvements in fluid-actuated reciprocating devices, characterized by comprising an active piston operating inside a working cylinder, with respect to which it can move with reciprocating movement, and is equipped with oppositely directed working faces on the which can act under pressure fluid in the respective chambers at the two ends of the working cylinder, and valve control mechanisms that comprise parts arranged respectively at the two ends of the working cylinder and can move in alternative directions by the fluid pressure acting on active faces of said elements, the arrangement being such that when the piston approaches each of the ends of the working cylinder, an element that moves with the piston cooperates with a part of the adjacent end of the cylinder to restrict or prevent the fluid flow from said end of the working cylinder and therefore makes e a fluid pressure is established between the adjacent face of the working piston and the operating face of the adjacent part of the working piston and the operating face of the adjacent part of the valve device, to move this part of the valve device and give therefore place the control of one or more inlet and/or outlet openings in order to produce the inversion of the movement of the active piston.
