Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición farmacéutica compuesta por la combinación sinérgica de un agente antiartrítico,conocido como: Sulfato de Condroitina y un agente inhibidor de la Interleucina-1, conocido como: Diacereina, además de excipientes farmacéuticamente aceptables, mismos que se encuentran formulados en una sola unidad de dosis para ser administrada por vía oral, útil para el control y tratamiento de la Osteoartrosis y enfermedades relacionadas, la cual proporciona un mayor efecto terapéutico, una mayor rapidez de acción farmacológica en menor tiempo, con reducción del dolor, inflamación y la modificación del curso de la enfermedad estructural del cartílago articular, así como menores riesgos de presentar complicaciones severas y/o efectos secundarios.

El porcentaje de pacientes con progresión radiográfica se definió como la pérdida del espacio articular de al menos
0.5 mm., que fue significativamente más bajo en los pacientes del Grupo 3 que en los pacientes de los Grupos 1 y 2. Los datos del primer análisis de laboratorio: 51.6% vs. 61.3% vs. 60.2% [P= 0.035] 5 Los datos al terminar los 6 meses de tratamiento: 46.7% vs. 61.2 vs. 43.6 [P= 0.006].
En relación a los objetivos que se cumplieron a los 6 meses de tratamiento con respecto al promedio del espacio articular fueron:
Grupo 1: Promedio ± DS 0.17 ± 0.24 mm/6 meses.
Grupo 2: Promedio ± DS 0.22 ± 0.22 mm/6 meses.
10 Grupo 3: Promedio ± DS 0.14 ± 0.20 mm/6 meses.
Conclusiones
El estudio con duración de 6 meses mostró un efecto modificador de la estructura en la OA de cadera en todos los grupos de tratamiento; sin embargo, el tratamiento con la combinación Diacereina/Condroitina fue superior a los otros dos grupos.
15 Todos los medicamentos fueron bien tolerados; sin embargo, la suspensión del tratamiento en algunos pacientes de los Grupos 1 y 2 fue debida a la lentitud de los efectos sobre la sintomatología de los pacientes.
