Abstract
Un dispositivo detector que comprende una estructura detectora de rayos X (21) que tiene una superficie de detección (23) que define una pluralidad de regiones separadamente direccionables (25) dispuestas en una disposición de zonas para detectar la intensidad de la radiación de rayos X incidente en la misma, caracterizado porque la región separadamente direccionable (25) está dividida en una pluralidad de subregiones (27; 29) dispuestas de forma espaciada a lo largo de la superficie de detección de la región separadamente direccionable cada una provista de una capa de filtro sobre la superficie de detección, comprendiendo las capas de filtro de cada subregión de una región separadamente direccionable materiales discretos y diferentes con bordes de absorción de rayos X discretos, definidos espectroscópicamente espaciados, y además porque la estructura detectora se adapta por si sola para resolver espectroscópicamente la radiación incidente simultáneamente a lo largo de al menos tres bandas de energía dentro del espectro de una fuente.
