Abstract

A clamping device (7) for the releasable fastening of the body (6) of a broom, scrubbing brush or the like, to a stick (1) with bifurcated resilient arms (4, 5), the bent ends (8, 9) of which engage in recesses (10, 11) on the body (6) of the implement and can be fixed by means of the clamping device (7), which has a clamping lever (12) and a bearing body (13) integral with the latter, which is held in a clamping but rotatable fashion between bent portions (16, 17) on the bifurcated arms (4, 5) to form the swivelling axis for the clamping lever and, upon actuation of the clamping lever (12) by means of a control cam (19) on the end faces (14, 15) of the bearing body (13), moves the arms (4, 5) between an open position and a splayed clamping position.
