Abstract
Enhancements in relays of multiple electromagnetic connections comprising a frame of magnetic material, a first group of parallel separated magnetic yokes, extending in a first direction and a first plane, a second group of separated, parallel magnetic yokes, extending in a second direction and a second plane, said second direction being normal to said first direction and said second plane being separated from said first plane, means for mounting said yokes on said frame in flow transfer relationship therewith, individual winding means associated in each of said yokes, respectively, two groups of common winding means cooperating magnetically with different said groups of yokes, respectively, a number of separate leaf contact stops, each made of electromagnetic material and contained in an envelope separate, extending the contacts of each pair through the associated winding wall being said envelopes located with their contacts in flow transfer relationship with said yokes at coordinated points defined between them, such being the characteristics of said individual winding means that when excited by a suitable current create insufficient motive force to cause the operation of any of said pairs of contacts, such being the characteristics of said common winding means that when excited by a suitable current that passes in the same direction as the current in any individual excited winding means, they create sufficient force driving magnet to cause the operation of the pair of contacts located at the coordinated point defined between the yoke associated with said individual energized winding means and to maintain said pair of contacts energized after de-energization of said individual winding means.
