Abstract

Material no-tejido, que comprende una capa (1) central a base de fibras de madera, caracterizado por el hecho de que a los dos lados de la capa (1) de base se aplican unas capas (2, 3) de recubrimiento constituidas por filamentos continuos de ácido poliláctico o de alcohol de polivinilo.

Description

Material no-tejido biodegradable.
La presente invención se refiere a materiales no-tejidos y, más particularmente, a materiales no-tejidos biodegradables.
Ya se conoce un material no-tejido biodegradable de viscosa o de viscosa de fibras de madera. Estos materiales no-tejidos no tienen una buena resistencia mecánica, ni la resistencia a la abrasión en particular en el estado húmedo. Se prestan mal a la aplicación como toallitas refrescantes, papel higiénico seco o húmedo y otras aplicaciones de productos de higiene.
La presente invención palia este inconveniente por un material no-tejido biodegradable, que tiene una resistencia mecánica y una resistencia a la abrasión, que son suficientes a los usos mencionados más arriba, pero que, sin embargo, es poco costoso de fabricar.
El material no-tejido según la invención comprende una capa central de fibras de madera en ambos lados de los cuales se aplican unas capas de recubrimiento a base de un material sintético o artificial. Las capas de recubrimiento están constituidas por filamentos continuos de ácido poli láctico (PLA) o de alcohol de polivinilo (PVA).
En razón a la naturaleza de los filamentos continuos de poliácido láctico o de alcohol de polivinilo, las capas de recubrimiento son biodegradables ya que es por su propia naturaleza el alma de fibras de madera. El compuesto así obtenido es biodegradable mucho más que un material no-tejido de viscosa. Pero como las capas de recubrimiento están constituidas por filamentos continuos, esta continuidad del material da la resistencia mecánica, en especial la resistencia al desgarro y la resistencia a la abrasión, hasta un punto que se puede conformar con un pequeño contenido de ácido poli láctico o de alcohol de polivinilo, que puede representar, a saber, menos del 50% del peso del material no-tejido y, con preferencia, menos del 30% de este peso.
La capa central está unida a las capas de recubrimiento bien mediante calandrado, bien, con preferencia, mediante un enredado por chorros de fluido, bien mediante un calandrado seguido de un enredado por chorros de fluido, bien mediante un enredado por chorros de fluido seguido de un calandrado.
El material no-tejido puede tener eventualmente unos motivos en relieve o en hueco obtenidos mediante calandrado o mediante enredado por chorros de agua.
Las capas de recubrimiento son, con preferencia, unas napas spunbond. El material no-tejido tiene un espesor comprendido, en general, entre 0,30 y 1,5 mm y un peso en el m^{2} comprendido entre 25 g/m^{2} y 100 g/m^{2}.
Con preferencia, los filamentos tienen una graduación comprendida entre 0,5 y 3 decitex y mejor entre 0,8 y 2 decitex.
Las fibras de madera tienen una longitud de 2 a 7 y, con preferencia, de 3 a 5 mm.
Según un modo de realización preferido los filamentos son de alcohol de polivinilo de calidad apta para disolverse en el agua a una temperatura de más de 70ºC. De este modo se puede transformar el no-tejido en un desecho o residuo líquido, del cual es más fácil deshacerse que de los desechos o residuos sólidos.
El material no-tejido es dispersable en el agua caliente, dispersándose a su vez en el agua las fibras de madera, después de que haya sido disuelto el alcohol de polivinilo, que las mantiene. Se puede meter un conservador en el envase o embalaje del material no-tejido, o añadirlo a una solución acuosa de impregnación del material no-tejido. La solución puede representar de 50 al 800 % en peso del material no-tejido seco.
El material no-tejido tiene en especial un espesor comprendido entre 0,4 mm y 1 mm y una estructura simétrica, teniendo el alma de capa, por ejemplo, un espesor comprendido entre 0,25 y 0,7 mm.
La figura única del dibujo anexo ilustra la invención.
El material no-tejido representado en el dibujo comprende una capa 1 central a base de fibras de madera en ambos lados de los cuales se unen mediante enredado por chorros de agua unas capas 2, 3, de recubrimiento de alcohol de polivinilo. Las capas 2, 3 de recubrimiento representan en ellas dos un 30% en peso del material no-tejido. Las capas de recubrimiento son de filamentos continuos de alcohol de polivinilo de una graduación de dos decitex. Este material no-tejido se puede impregnar de una solución especialmente acuosa, en cuyo caso se añade a la solución un conservador en una cantidad suficiente para impedir un desarrollo bacteriano Como conservador, se utiliza, por ejemplo, el Bronopol.

Claims (8)

1. Material no-tejido, que comprende una capa (1) central a base de fibras de madera, caracterizado por el hecho de que a los dos lados de la capa (1) de base se aplican unas capas (2, 3) de recubrimiento constituidas por filamentos continuos de ácido poliláctico o de alcohol de polivinilo.
2. Material no-tejido según la reivindicación 1, caracterizado por el hecho de que las capas de recubrimiento representan menos del 50% del peso del material no-tejido.
3. Material no-tejido según la reivindicación 1 o 2, caracterizado por el hecho de que las capas se unen entre sí mediante enredado por chorros de fluido, mediante calandrado o mediante calandrado seguido de chorros de fluido, o enredado por chorros de fluido seguido de calandrado.
4. Material no-tejido según una de las reivindicaciones precedentes, caracterizado por el hecho de que los filamentos tienen una graduación, comprendida entre 0,5 y 3 decitex.
5. Material no-tejido según una de las reivindicaciones precedentes, caracterizado por el hecho de que está impregnado de una solución acuosa.
6. Material no-tejido según la reivindicación 5, caracterizado por el hecho de que la solución acuosa representa del 50 al 800% del peso del no-tejido seco.
7. Material no-tejido según una de las reivindicaciones precedentes, embalado en un envase, caracterizado por el hecho de que se pone un conservador dentro del embalaje.
8. La utilización de un material no-tejido según una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 7, como productos de higiene biodegradables, en especial como toallita refrescante o papel de aseo.
