Abstract

A terminal comprising first and second metal plates located adjacent in opposition and parallelism relationship and for effecting limited relative lateral movement in their planes and having, respectively, first and second thread receiving slots extending from respective mouths at least partially in mutual coincidence, the walls of the first groove being laterally offset from the walls of the second groove so that a conductor inserted in the grooves will be gripped between opposite walls of different plates with additional lateral movement of the groove walls in mutual alignment, characterized in that to receive two conductors, each of the grooves comprises first and second wire receiving sections spaced longitudinally of the mouths, the walls of the first groove of the first section being displaced in a first lateral direction of the walls of the first part.
