Panel sándwich, compuesto de A. una capa central de espuma de partículas de polipropileno a base de partículas de espuma con un tamaño de partícula entre 2 y 8 mm y una densidad aparente entre 10 y 100 g/l, B. capas de recubrimiento de polipropileno reforzado con fibras, así como dado el caso C. capas decorativas, caracterizada porque la capa 1 central contiene hasta el 10% en peso de partículas de producto reciclado, que se componen de un material fragmentado con un tamaño medio de grano de 5 a 10 mm de los componentes A, B y dado el caso, C.
Description
Panel sándwich.
La invención se refiere a un panel sándwich
compuesto de
A. una capa central de espuma de partículas
de polipropileno,
B. capas de recubrimiento de polipropileno
reforzado con fibras, así como dado el caso
C. capas decorativas.
Los paneles sándwich de este tipo se conocen,
por ejemplo por el documento DE-A- 195 44 451. Se
utilizan para la producción de piezas de automóviles. En su
producción se producen mediante troquelado, desperdicios
considerables. Pues bien, la invención se basó en el objetivo de
dirigir estos desperdicios a un aprovechamiento práctico.
Sorprendentemente se encontró, que los
desperdicios pueden añadirse en forma fragmentada en cantidades del
1 al 10% en peso en la producción de paneles de espuma, y que a
partir de esto pueden producirse nuevos paneles sándwich con
propiedades mecánicas deterioradas sólo de forma insignificante.
Por tanto es objeto de la invención un panel
sándwich según la reivindicación 1. Un objeto adicional de la
invención es un procedimiento para la producción de un panel de
espuma según la reivindicación 5.
El polipropileno de la espuma de partículas de
la capa central puede ser un homopolímero o un copolímero con del
0,5 al 15% en peso de eteno y/o 1-buteno. Su punto
de fusión de la cristalita se encuentra en general entre 120º y
170ºC. Las partículas de espuma se producen mediante impregnación de
minigranulado de polipropileno con un agente espumante volátil en
suspensión acuosa y expansión mediante espumación. También es
posible la extrusión de espuma. El tamaño de partícula se encuentra
tal como es habitual entre 2 y 8 mm, la densidad aparente, entre 10
y
100 g/l.

El polipropileno de las capas de recubrimiento
es un homopolímero o un copolímero (por injerto) con anhídrido de
ácido maleico o ácido acrílico. Las capas de recubrimiento contienen
preferiblemente del 10 al 60% en peso de fibras de vidrio,
naturales o sintéticas en forma de esteras, esterillas, tejidos o
fibras cortas. Se prefiere un polipropileno (GMT) reforzado con del
20 al 50% en peso de esteras de vidrio.
Los paneles decorativos se componen de un
material no tejido de fibras de poliéster o poliamida, de hojas de
material sintético o de una hoja de espuma laminada dado el caso con
una hoja. También pueden estar teñidos.
La capa central contiene según la invención del
1 al 10, preferiblemente del 2 al 10% en peso de partículas de
producto reciclado de los componentes A, B y dado el caso, C. En
este caso se trata de un producto reciclado, que se produce por
ejemplo durante la producción D de piezas de automóviles mediante
troquelado de paneles sándwich como desperdicio. También pueden
utilizarse piezas correspondientes de coches viejos. Estas partes
de desecho se fragmentan por ejemplo en trituradoras con filtros
reemplazables, en las que se conserva fundamentalmente la
estructura de espuma de la capa central y no se funde el
polipropileno. Dado el caso puede separarse una parte de las fibras
mediante una máquina de cribado de cilindros. El material de
reciclaje presenta un tamaño medio de grano de 5 a 10,
preferiblemente de 6 a 8 mm. A continuación se premezcla este
material en cantidades del 1 al 10% en peso con partículas de
espuma de polipropileno frescas y se alimentan al depósito de
llenado de una máquina de moldeo por compresión. Aquí se sueldan
las partículas de manera conocida con vapor de agua para obtener un
panel de espuma.
Este panel de espuma se utiliza entonces
preferiblemente como capa A central en la producción del panel
sándwich según la invención. Para ello se calientan en primer lugar
las dos superficies de dos paneles B de capa de recubrimiento hasta
aproximadamente 200ºC, y en cada caso sobre una de las superficies
se coloca el material C decorativo. A continuación entre las dos
capas de recubrimiento se introduce un panel A de espuma y el
material compuesto se inserta y deforma en una herramienta de
embutición profunda. También es posible el prensado de las capas a
temperaturas por encima del punto de ablandamiento de
polipropileno.
El espesor de la capa A central se encuentra
entre 3 y 20 mm, el de las capas de recubrimiento entre 0,5 y 2 mm,
las capas de decorativas pueden tener como material no tejido de
fibras o como hoja de espuma un espesor de 1 a 5 mm, como hojas de
material sintético, de 1 a 3 mm.
En concentraciones de producto reciclado en la
capa central de hasta el 10% en peso no se observa ningún
empeoramiento significativo de los valores de resistencia.
Los paneles sándwich según la invención pueden
servir para la producción de piezas de automóviles, tales como
fondos de maleteros, bandejas posteriores y revestimientos de
puertas laterales.
Claims (6)
1. Panel sándwich, compuesto de
A. una capa central de espuma de partículas de
polipropileno a base de partículas de espuma con un tamaño de
partícula entre 2 y 8 mm y una densidad aparente entre 10 y 100
g/l,
B. capas de recubrimiento de polipropileno
reforzado con fibras, así como dado el caso
C. capas decorativas,
caracterizada porque la capa 1 central
contiene hasta el 10% en peso de partículas de producto reciclado,
que se componen de un material fragmentado con un tamaño medio de
grano de 5 a 10 mm de los componentes A, B y dado el caso, C.
2. Panel sándwich según la reivindicación 1,
caracterizado porque las capas B de recubrimiento contienen
del 10 al 60% en peso de fibras de vidrio, naturales o sintéticas
en forma de esteras, esterillas, tejidos o fibras cortas.
3. Panel sándwich según la reivindicación 2,
caracterizado porque las capas de recubrimiento contienen del
20 al 50% en peso de esteras de vidrio.
4. Panel sándwich según la reivindicación 1,
caracterizado porque el panel decorativo se compone de un
material no tejido de fibras, una hoja de material sintético o de
una hoja de espuma dado el caso laminada.
5. Procedimiento para la producción de un panel
de espuma, caracterizado porque se fragmentan piezas de
desecho a partir de paneles sándwich con los componentes A, B y
dado el caso, C según la reivindicación 1 hasta un tamaño medio de
grano de 5 a 10 mm y se suelda del 1 al 10% en peso del material
fragmentado junto con del 99 al 90% en peso de partículas de espuma
de polipropileno en un molde.
6. Procedimiento para la producción del panel
sándwich según la reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque se
une el panel de espuma producido según la reivindicación 5 como
componente A con capas B de recubrimiento y dado el caso capas C
decorativas a temperaturas por encima del punto de ablandamiento de
polipropileno en una herramienta de embutición profunda.
