Abstract

Mecanismos de acoplamiento para conectores eléctricos. La presente invención se refiere a una estructura para acoplar un conector de clavija a un conector de receptáculo empujando simplemente el conector de clavija para bloquearlo en posición sobre un conector de receptáculo y tirar de la tuerca de acoplamiento para liberarlo. Aunque la acción de empujar para bloquear y tirar para liberar no es singular en la industria de los conectores, la presente invención es singular por el hecho de que los conectores de clavija y de receptáculo se bloquean a partir de un movimiento circunferencial relativo o un movimiento axial relativo el uno respecto del otro cuando se acoplan. El conector en una condición acoplada de bloqueo previene el desplazamiento relativo durante aplicaciones de grandes golpes o grandes vibraciones. Esto se consigue haciendo un contacto superficial entre el conector de clavija y el conector de receptáculo con una fuerza considerable. Ventajosamente, la condición de bloqueo delconector acoplado protege los contactos eléctricos de un desgaste excesivo, originado cuando existe un desplazamiento relativo entre el conector de clavija y el conector de receptáculo, previniendo así la pérdida de continuidad, el excesivo calentamiento e incluso la combustión debida a un calentamiento excesivo.
