Máquina herramienta para el mecanizado con arranque de virutas de piezas de trabajo, con al menos un husillo principal (2), inclinado en un ángulo de, al menos, 30° respecto a la horizontal y orientado en dirección a la pieza (3) de trabajo, y una mesa giratoria (4, 4¿), en la que se sujeta, al menos, una pieza (3) de trabajo, orientándose el husillo principal (2) en una posición de mecanizado hacia piezas (3) de trabajo, dispuestas por encima de un útil, orientándose en esta posición de mecanizado la superficie de la mesa giratoria (4¿) ortogonalmente respecto al eje del husillo principal y pudiendo girar la mesa giratoria (4, 4¿) alrededor de un eje (A), situado lateralmente en la mesa giratoria (4, 4¿), desde la posición de mecanizado a una posición para la dotación en situación horizontal.
