EL 1,2 - POLIBUTADIENO SINDIOTACTICO ES UNA RESINA TERMOPLASTICA QUE TIENE ENLACES DOBLES UNIDOS DE FORMA ALTERNA A SU ELEMENTO POLIMERICO PRINCIPAL. SE PUEDEN HACER PELICULAS, FIBRAS Y ARTICULOS MOLDEADOS UTILIZANDO 1,2 - POLIBUTADIENO SINDIOTACTICO. SE PUEDE MEZCLAR TAMBIEN CON CAUCHOS Y CURARLO JUNTO CON LOS MISMOS. NORMALMENTE ES PREFERENTE SINTETIZAR EL 1,2 POLIBUTADIENO SINDIOTACTICO EN UN MEDIO ACUOSOS A TRAVES DE UNA POLIMERIZACION EN SUSPENSION O EN EMULSION. EN TALES TECNICAS DE POLIMERIZACION ACUOSA CON FRECUENCIA SURGEN PROBLEMAS DE INCRUSTACIONES EN EL REACTOR Y DE CONTROL DEL TAMAÑO DE LAS PARTICULAS.
