Abstract

La invención se refiere a un procedimiento para la preparación de compuestos de cetonas insaturadas, útiles como intermedios para isofitol, mediante reacción catalítica de alfa, beta alcoholes insaturados con alquil acetoacetato. La preparación de cetonas insaturadas de fórmula (I) se efectúa mediante reacción del correspondiente alfa-, beta-alcohol insaturado de fórmula (II) con un compuesto de acetoacetato de alquilo de fórmula (III) en presencia de 0,1-0,5% molar (respecto de (III)) de un catalizador de organoaluminio con separación continua mediante destilación de CO{sub,2} y de alcohol de fórmula R{sub,3}OH formados durante la reacción, en un reactor que contiene una columna de fraccionamiento, en el que: (A) se añade (II) a la mezcla de la reacción junto con el catalizador orgánico sin disolvente adicional y se añade después (III) a la mezcla; (B) la temperatura de la reacción se mantiene constante entre 175-220 ºC; (C) el contenido de (III) se mantiene a un nivel constante entre 0,1-10% en peso durante la reacción. R{sub,1}, R{sub,3} = alquilo C{sub,1-4}; R{sub,2} = un compuesto alifático C{sub,4-30}, cicloalifático o cicloalifático-alifático; a, b = enlaces opcionales adicionales.
