UN APARATO GENERADOR DE LENTES OFTALMICAS CON UN HUSILLO DE HERRAMIENTAS QUE COMPRENDE UN MOTOR, UNA HERRAMIENTA DE ACABADO DE LENTE, Y UN ACOPLAMIENTO MONTADO ENTRE EL MOTOR Y LA HERRAMIENTA DE ACABADO DE LENTE, PARA SUJETAR LA HERRAMIENTA DE ACABADO DE LENTE AL ARBOL DEL MOTOR. EL APARATO DE LA PRESENTE INVENCION COMPRENDE TAMBIEN UNA PRIMERA MESA ACCIONADA, QUE SOPORTA EL HUSILLO DE HERRAMIENTAS EN FORMA DESPLAZABLE A LO LARGO DEL EJE LONGITUDINAL DEL APARATO. UNA BASE ENORME ESTA MONTADA BAJO LA PRIMERA MESA ACCIONADA, PARA SOPORTAR LA MESA Y AMORTIGUAR LAS VIBRACIONES RADIALES DEL HUSILLO DE HERRAMIENTAS. EL APARATO COMPRENDE ADEMAS UN SUJETADOR DE LENTE, PARA SUJETAR UNA LENTE OFTALMICA EN UN PLANO SUSTANCIALMENTE PERPENDICULAR AL EJE LONGITUDINAL DEL APARATO. UN BLOQUE ENORME EN POSICION VERTICAL ESTA MONTADO SOBRE UN EXTREMO DE LA BASE ENORME, AL LADO DEL SOPORTE ESTRUCTURAL QUE SOPORTA EL SUJETADOR DE LENTE, PARA AMORTIGUAR LAS VIBRACIONES AXIALES DEL HUSILLO DE HERRAMIENTAS Y DELSUJETADOR DE LENTE. EL ACOPLAMIENTO DEL HUSILLO DE HERRAMIENTAS, ES UN ACOPLAMIENTO CINEMATICO CON PRIMER Y SEGUNDO DISCOS, TENIENDO CADA UNO MASA Y RADIO DE GIRO CONSIDERABLES. ASI, CUANDO EL HUSILLO DE HERRAMIENTAS ROTA, AMBOS DISCOS AUMENTAN EL MOMENTO DE INERCIA NOMINAL DEL HUSILLO, Y AMORTIGUAN LAS VIBRACIONES TORSIONALES DEL MISMO.
