Abstract

La invención se refiere a un procedimiento para determinar la cantidad de material sólido y/o líquido en una corriente de dos fases con un medio portador gaseoso. Un área de aplicación preferida de la invención es la determinación de la cantidad de polvo de carbón que se transporta de forma neumática en los tubos quemadores de una central térmica que quema carbón, así como la detección de los rastros. De acuerdo con la invención, de determina la carga de una corriente de dos fases con partículas sólidas o líquidas por medio del desplazamiento de frecuencia de un área casi lineal de la curva de debilitamiento por debajo de la frecuencia límite para la propagación de las ondas electromagnéticas. Esta área lineal, que es similar a una función escalonada, es muy estable en términos de forma pero se desplaza de forma incremental hacia frecuencias inferiores a medida que se incrementa la carga de partículas. De acuerdo con la invención, est e desplazamiento de frecuencias se detecta por medio de campos eléctricos alternativos y a partir de la misma se calcula la carga. Cualquier rastro presente puede ser detectado determinado la carga en direcciones azimutales diferentes de los campos eléctricos alternativos estimulados.
