Abstract

Una composición de revestimiento estable y reducible por el agua, exenta de cromo y exenta de resina para aplicación a, y curado térmico sobre un sustrato a n de proporcionar al mismo protección contra la corrosión, comprendiendo dicha composición: (A) agua en una cantidad que proporciona desde aproximadamente 20 a aproximadamente 70 por ciento en peso de dicha composición de revestimiento; (B) líquido orgánico de punto de ebullición bajo; (C) metal constituido por partículas; (D) agente de fijación de silano organofuncional reducible por el agua, que contiene grupos alcoxi, aportando dicho agente de fijación de silano desde aproximadamente 3 a aproximadamente 20 por ciento en peso de dicha composición de revestimiento; y (E) agente humectante; y con la condición de que dicha composición de revestimiento tiene una relación molar de agua a grupos alcoxi del silano mayor que 4,5:1.
