Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento mejorado para la preparación de ácidos nicotínicos representados por la fórmula estructural (I) que se preparan haciendo reaccionar un compuesto de amida nicotínica de fórmula (a) con un nitrito, en condiciones ácidas. En el procedimiento de la invención los grupos R{sup,1}, R{sup,2} y R{sup,3} en los compuestos se seleccionan independientemente del grupo constituido por hidrógeno y átomos de halógeno, y R{sup,4} se selecciona del grupo constituido por hidrógeno, alquilo inferior y arilo. El procedimiento proporciona compuestos de ácido nicotínico con un mejor rendimiento.
