Abstract

Un cojinete de apoyo deslizante forrado consta de un material de apoyo compuesto que incluye una capa de apoyo metálica, una capa porosa de soporte sinterizada encima, y una capa deslizante con base de PTFE, que forma la superficie deslizante de dicha capa de soporte de un miembro deslizante asociado, llenando también dicha capa los poros de dicha capa de soporte, e incluyendo al menos 60% en volumen de PTFE, 15 a 25% en volumen de un relleno metálico, preferiblemente plomo, y opcionalmente 8 a 12% en volumen de PVDF. Para obtener un coeficiente de rozamiento bajo, variando solo en un pequeño margen durante un periodo prolongado, dicho cojinete de apoyo deslizante está formado de tal manera que la capa deslizante incluye el 1 - 3% en volumen de fibras de carbono, estando dichas fibras de carbono sustancialmente orientadas en una dirección preferida respecto de dicho material de apoyo compuesto, siendo el movimiento relativo de dicho apoyo de cojinete y de dicho miembro deslizante asociado sustancialmente transversal a dicha dirección preferida.
