Abstract

Mejora de la producción de penicilina mediante la utilización de cepas transgénicas merodiploides para un gen regulador. El objeto de la presente invención es un procedimiento de obtención de una cepa merodiploide transgénica de Penicillium chrysogenum en la que se ha alterado de manera dirigida la actividad de un gen regulador que controla la biosíntesis de penicilina por lo que esta cepa es hiperproductora de penicilina. Esta invención representa el primer caso en el que la biosíntesis de un metabolito de interés industrial ha sido incrementada por manipulación de un gen regulador, y por lo tanto presenta una notable novedad sobre las tecnologías previamente utilizadas.
