DICHO PROCEDIMIENTO CONSISTE EN PONER EN CONTACTO PREVIO UN CATALIZADOR A BASE DE CROMO CON UN OXANO METALICO DE ALQUILO, DONDE DICHO CATALIZADOR COMPRENDE OXIDO DE CROMO SOBRE UN SOPORTE QUE CONTIENE SILICE, PARA FORMAR UN SISTEMA CATALIZADOR EN EL CUAL LA RELACION ATOMICA DEL METAL DEL OXANO AL CROMO ES INFERIOR A 1; Y POLIMERIZAR ETILENO O COPOLIMERIZAR ETILENO Y UN COMONOMERO ALFA-OLEFINICO QUE COMPRENDE DE 3 A 10 ATOMOS DE CARBONO, EN PRESENCIA DEL SISTEMA CATALIZADOR. SE DESCRIBE ASIMISMO UN SISTEMA CATALIZADOR PARA POLIMERIZAR ETILENO O COPOLIMERIZAR ETILENO Y UN COMONOMERO ALFA-OLEFINICO QUE COMPRENDE DE 3 A 10 ATOMOS DE CARBONO, PARA PRODUCIR POLIETILENO DE ALTA DENSIDAD.
