LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN METODO PARA SEPARAR IONES FERROSOS DE UN ELECTROLITO DE ESTAÑADO QUE CONTIENE HIERRO EN BASE AL ACIDO METANOSULFONICO O ACIDO FENOLSULFONICO, QUE CONSISTE EN LOS PASOS SIGUIENTES: (A) SE FORMA UN ELECTROLITO QUE CONTENGA ESTAÑO Y HIERRO CONCENTRADO QUE CONTENGA 0,75 MOLES/L O MAS DE ACIDO METANOSULFONICO O DE ACIDO FENOLSULFONICO (B) SE AGITA Y REFRIGERA EL ELECTROLITO CONCENTRADO A UNA TEMPERATURA EN LA QUE SE PRECIPITE UNA SAL DE FE INSOLUBLE (C) SE SEPARA EL PRECIPITADO INSOLUBLE PARA RECUPERAR UN ELECTROLITO CON UNA CONCENTRACION DE HIERRO REDUCIDA. Y UNA INSTALACION DE RECUPERACION DE ELECTROLITOS DE ESTAÑADO EN BASE AL ACIDO METANOSULFONICO O AL ACIDO FENOLSULFONICO EN LA QUE SE LLEVA A CABO ESTE METODO.
