Abstract

The door stop consists of a housing (3) with locking rollers, a bar (1) which can move between the rollers, and a head (2) on the bar which forms a stop to limit the opening of the door. The housing also has a shock absorber (10, 11) of an elastically deformable material to receive the head of the stop bar. The shock absorber is in two sections, situated on either side of at least one of the rollers, and has surfaces (13, 14) which extend beyond the rollers. Its two sections are covered by a vane (12) of a non-deformable material which acts as a thrust surface for the head of the stop bar and forms at least one of the two surfaces (13, 14). The shock absorber can be attached to the housing by a clip-on bracket which is made in one piece with the thrust surface.
