Abstract

Procedimiento para lograr una combustión mejorada de aceites combustibles hidrocarbonados. Comprende quemar, en una zona de combustión, una emulsión de agua en combustible líquido que contiene un aceite combustible hidrocarbonado líquido; de 5 a 20% en volumen de agua en forma de gotitas dispersadas en el aceite combustible, en donde al menos el 50% del volumen del agua se encuentra en forma de gotitas con un diámetro mayor de 10 micrómetros; y una cantidad eficaz de un surfactante emulsionante que evita la separación del agua y mantiene la estabilidad de la distribución del tamaño de las gotitas de agua en la emulsión. También se describe un procedimiento para la preparación de dichas emulsiones de aceite combustible.
