Abstract

Sistema anti-incendios para grandes contenedores de productos inflamables. El sistema es aplicable en grandes depósitos contenedores de productos inflamables que se utilizan en refinerías y/o plantas de hidrocarburos, con el fin de que se pueda apagar de inmediato un incendio producido sobre la superficie del producto inflamable contenido en el depósito. El sistema incluye un dispositivo extintor (1) en sí conocido y que en su interior contará con la carga explosiva y el producto ignífugo, susceptible de activarse mediante unas mechas (3) que al contacto con el fuego se produce su ignición. Ese dispositivo extintor (1) está asociado a unos medios de flotación constituidos, por ejemplo, mediante una carcasa envolvente formada por un cuenco o casquete inferior (4) y una tapa superior y cierre superior (5), formando un conjunto hermético susceptible de flotar en la superficie de un líquido inflamable contenido en un depósito para producir el apagado de aquél en caso de producirse un incendio,o bien ir sumergido en dicho producto inflamable, manteniéndose en dicha posición hasta que en caso de producirse el incendio éste mismo produzca la liberación de los medios de amarre y La correspondiente ascensión a la superficie del conjunto extintor propiamente dicho.
