LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCEDIMIENTO Y A UN APPARATO PPARA LA RECUPERACION MEJORADA DE METAL A PARTIR DE ESCORIA, EN EL QUE UN HORNO DE TRATAMIENTO DE ESCORIA ESTA DOTADO DE UN PARED REFRACTARIA O UN REVESTIMIENTO REFRACTARIO CON GRAN CAPACIDAD PARA ALMACENAR Y CONDUCIR EL CALOR. ESTE HORNO SE PRECALIENTA A UNA TEMPERATURA DESEADA POR INYECCION DE OXIGENO PPARA QUEMAR METAL NO RECUPERABLE QUE QUEDA EN LOS RESIDUOS DESPUES DE LA COLADA DEL METAL RECUPERABLE CONTENIDO EN LA ESCORIA. CUANDO LA ESCORIA ES TRATADA EN ESTE HORNO PRECALENTADO, EL CALOR QUE EMANA POR CONDUCCION DE LA PARED DEL HORNO ES SUFICIENTE PPARA FUNDIR Y SEPPARAR EL METAL RECUPERABLE CONTENIDO EN LA ESCORIA, SIN ADICION DE UNA FUENTE DE CALOR EXTERNA, TALES COMO QUEMADORES DE GAS O COMBUSTIBLE, LAMPPARA DE PLASMA O ARCOS ELECTRICOS.
