EL PROCEDIMIENTO ESTA CARACTERIZADO POR LAS OPERACIONES SIGUIENTES: (A) EN LA ZONA DE ENTRADA DE LA SEGUNDA PARTE DE VERTIDO BUZA SE REDUCE EL CAUDAL DE VOLUMEN CENTRAL; (B) AL MISMO TIEMPO SE ENSANCHA EL ANGULO DE EXPANSION ( DE ) DEL CHORRO DE LIQUIDO DE MANERA QUE SE SUPRIME ESENCIALMENTE EL REFLUJO EN LA ZONA LATERAL DE LA PIEZA INTERMEDIA Y DE LA SEGUNDA PIEZA DE VERTIDO BUZA; Y (C) CUANDO LA COLADA SALE DE LA SEGUNDA PIEZA DE VERTIDO BUZA FLUYE CON UN PERFIL DE VELOCIDAD CUYOS VECTORES DE VELOCIDAD SON INFERIORES EN EL CENTRO DE LA BOCA QUE EN LAS PARTES DE LOS LADOS ESTRECHOS.
