LA INVENCION CONSISTE EN UN METODO DE DENSIFICAR MATERIAL LIGNOCELULOSICO COMO LA MADERA. LA MADERA SE IMPREGNA CON UNA SOLUCION DE MALTODEXTRINA A VACIO Y/O PRESION Y LA MALTODEXTRINA SE ENTRECRUZA, INSOLUBILIZANDO. SE FORMA UN COMPUESTO DE MADERA-POLIMERO. LOS AGENTES DE ENTRECRUZAMIENTOS ADECUADOS INCLUYEN COMPUESTOS QUE TENGAN AL MENOS UN GRUPO HIDROXIL. LAS MALTODEXTRINAS QUE TIENEN UN EQUIVALENTE DE DEXTROSA EN EL RANGO DE 15 A 30 SON LAS PREFERIDAS. EL MATERIAL COMPUESTO RESULTANTE TIENE UNA MEJOR APARIENCIA, DUREZA, RESISTENCIA AL IMPACTO, FORTALEZA Y REPELENCIA AL AGUA.
