Abstract

Composición blanqueadora dental. La composición comprende peróxido de carbamida (0,3-60%), xilitol (0,5-50%), una sal potásica (0,001-10%) y una sal de flúor (0,15-3%). Se describe un gel que contiene, además de la composición blanqueadora, entre 0,5 y 6% en peso de un agente gelificante apropiado. El gel es adecuado para blanquear piezas dentales mediante un tratamiento que comprende aplicar una cantidad eficaz de dicho gel blanqueador sobre las piezas dentales a blanquear. La composición también puede presentarse en forma de pasta dentífrica, colutorio o elixir.
