Se proporciona un método de control del crecimiento de plantas y de virus de las plantas y/o su replicación, del ciclo celular, diferenciación, desarrollo y senescencia de las plantase caracterizado porque consiste en aumentar o reducir los niveles o capacidades de unión de proteínas URAG (Unión a RepA de Geminivirus) distintas de las proteínas Rb (Retinoblastoma) dentro de las células vegetales.
