Abstract

Procedimiento de obtención de materiales cerámicas de alta densidad a partir de cenizas de piritas por granulado y chamotado de las cenizas, y posterior conformado en bloques y cocción a alta temperatura. El procedimiento permite la obtención de bloques densos, de alta resistencia mecánica y estables química y mecánicamente. Dichos bloques pueden utilizarse como material de construcción, pavimentos o acumuladores de calor. Las ventajas del procedimiento se derivan de la reutilización de un residuo industrial extraordinariamente abundante para un proceso de fabricación industrial.Procedure for obtaining high-density ceramic materials from pyrite ashes by granulating and chamoting the ashes, and subsequent forming into blocks and firing at high temperatures. The procedure allows to obtain dense blocks, of high mechanical resistance and chemically and mechanically stable. These blocks can be used as construction material, pavements or heat accumulators. The advantages of the procedure derive from the reuse of an extremely abundant industrial waste for an industrial manufacturing process.
